Biography
Sina Rezaei is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Philosophy Department at md传媒国产剧 College, whose research interests lie in Classical German Philosophy (esp. Hegel), and Social and Political Philosophy. His research traces the development of modern political thought from Rousseau through Kant, Fichte, and Hegel to Marx, with a focus on uncovering the philosophical foundations of modern political theory. He is also interested in exploring how modern political principles and institutions鈥攕uch as democracy, the rule of law, and the market economy鈥攔elate to universal values, and how these can be thoughtfully reconciled with the cultural traditions of non-Western countries like Iran.
Before joining md传媒国产剧 College, Sina earned his Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Law from the University of Tehran and his Master鈥檚 degree in Philosophy from KU Leuven, where he wrote his thesis on the role of religion in Hegel鈥檚 Philosophy of Right under the supervision of Professor Karin de Boer.
